Pork chops coated with a crumbly cracker mixture and egg then baked.
I've made this recipe twice and it came out great. I also learned a few things: 1 for way better flavor 1 use italian bread crumbs 2 I only use thin chops 3 season the egg mixture - I added a little salt, garlic powder, paprika and black pepper 3 after dredging chops in egg mixture, toss them in a ziploc bag with the bread crumbs 4 for a crispier chop, use the most shallow pan like a cookie sheet with curve up edges. I found with a 1.5 or 2 inch pan the chops never crisp 5 I used half butter half olive oil 6 I ended up having to let chops cook a couple minutes longer to crisp - depends on the oven. I hope this is helpful.
almost exactly a half of an EGG in Cholestral..pork chops usually are priced very nicely..a really thick one makes a nice stuffed one.
Made this lower fat (egg whites, skim milk and no butter) and with seasoned gluten free breadcrumbs. The pork chops were thick so I cooked them at 425 for 20 min and then lower to 350 for 10 min.
These were delicious, simple to prepare on a busy school/work night, and my pickiest child ate them!! I did not have stuffing mix but used plain bread crumbs with onion powder, garlic powder, celery salt, and thyme. Thanks for sharing.
